Stem cells differ from other kinds of cells in the body. All stem cells—regardless of their source—have three general properties: they are capable of dividing and renewing themselves for long periods; they are unspecialized; and they can give rise to specialized cell types.


Stem Cells give rise to all other cell types

  • They can be omnipotent (embryonic) or pluripotent which are somatic (adult stem cells)

Adult Stem cells are the body’s repair mechanism that are attracted by inflammation, injuries as well as tissues that need repair. Stem Cells can:

  • Regenerate tissues in the body

  • Recruit existing and non-active stem cells

  • Secrete growth factors and exosomes

  • Modulate immune regulatory response
